Après près d'un mois d'hésitation, j'ai vraiment craqué et je me suis acheté ces sandales wedges en rouge.   Il faut de temps en temps que je me rappelle que je ne suis plus une étudiante, et qu'avec mon salaire (si minime qu'il soit) je peux quand même me permettre de dépenser de temps à autre.  YAY FOR NOT BEING A BROKE STUDENT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!

Reste à voir si les Jeffrey Campbell sont aussi confortables qu'on le dit.  Le modèle est à mi-chemin entre la féminité grandmère et le chic moderne (ok ça veut rien dire haha)

Bling Bling

The newest addition to my growing collection of rings (well I can hardly call it a collection, more like a small family??) is a gold hammered V ring. 

I'm oddly attracted to thin & dainty rings with the smallest details instead of the colorful gems and the big blings.  There can be so much beauty contained in a small frame.

I'm still on the hunt for the perfect wood branch/twig ring.  Des fois j'ai quelque chose de très spécifique en tête et ma quête ne finit pas tant que j'ai pas trouvé l'objet correspondant 100% à cette idée. 1. I had my most spontaneous online purchase yesterday. Spontaneous as in decision making + taking out credit card within 5 minutes. I bought my own domain at http://www.yilizhu.com/     I know it's lame to just use my name but I could eventually use it as a portfolio or at least for a professional purpose!  It's just empty for now.

2. STAR WARS 3D is playing in theatres in Montreal and no one bothered to invite me on a date to go see it?!!   I'm ashamed to say that I've never watched the Phantom Menace.  Now's my chance!!

Skin care routine

Sorry this is going to be a boring post.  Ever since my birthday and my mom's speech about wrinkles and sunspots (not as hardcore as Michelle Phan's warning, thank God), I've been trying to keep up with a bedtime/morning routine.   Of course, I've used cleansers and moisturizing creams for years, but toner ? eye cream? crème raffermissante?   What is the point?!!!!!   Men don't use anything other than aftershave cream and their skins aren't so bad, aren't they?

Cleansing/exfoliating products make my skin dry, therefore I put on a moisturizing cream afterwards to compensate, I wake up the next morning with a sorta oily face, so I wash again and put on the day cream.  Caliss.  Just what is the point of dabbing all this chemical on my face?!!   I don't even wear makeup or have bad skin to start with T___T 

Anyhow, I've never been faithful to a brand of skin products, but for my birthday I got the entire biotherm line.

Aquasource Eye Perfection// This is a crazy eye roller that costs 34$ (wtf) , I got addicted to it somehow, it helps me open my eyes in the morning and leaves a very fresh feeling. But sometimes I squeeze out too much and end up rolling for like 10 minutes...

Just the classic moisturizing cream, to be honest I really don't feel the difference between this and the generic 5$ aloe vera cream from Pharmaprix...

This is a cream that I'm supposed to wear on days where I feel tired ( what the counter lady told me)  IT SMELLS LIKE HEAVEN (citrus, sunny, fresh, so pleasant), so I think I'll end up eating it instead.

Pointless toner.  I heard some ppl use pure alcohol as toner, claiming it makes their skin really smooth.  I'd probably get drunk with a 100% alcohol toner.

Ma mère m'a aussi acheté ça, je vais le garder de côté et le sortir un matin où ma peau de 23 ans devient intensément déshydratée  pffffffffff

Je deviens vraiment méfiante par rapport à tous ces produits chimiques, et je crois pas qu'il soit possible de retarder l'apparition de rides sur moi, pcq je suis bcp trop expressive ANYWAY.  

Mais là je vous laisse, car on sait tous que le manque de sommeil n'aide pas à avoir une bonne peau mmm??

Can't wait to have my appartment and unleash my inner creative domestic Goddess.

Once in a while I get obsessed about something in particular for no reason and HAVE to have it no matter what...  I guess it's a girl thing...

Like this summer, I had the urge to buy an orange lipstick, so knowing nothing about lipsticks I read through a couple of bloggers' reviews about the different existing brands, then went to the Bay, MAC, pharmaprix countless times to find the shade I wanted.  I used it maybe twice?

In February I went on a quest to find the highest leather boots, and after a disastrous experience with the online boutique Asos, I got these (on the right). they were soooo friggin high I couldn't even differenciate the left foot from the right foot. I know it sounds retarded but they looked the same! So needless to say, I never had the courage to wear them.

My current obsession is a little more reasonable, I have my mind set on finding a tiny chain ring, or a very simple, thin gold band.  Shouldn't be too hard right??

Princesse Tam Tam

Une des choses qui me manquent le plus de Bordeaux (parmi les milliers) c'est de passer devant le magasin de lingerie Princesse Tam Tam chaque après-midi en rentrant de l'école.  Même si la plupart de leurs articles étaient hors de prix (120 euros pour un ensemble pyjama...euh non merci), c'était un vrai régal d'y rentrer et regarder les belles collections couleur crème, lavande, bleu minuit , et passer ma main dans les pyjamas de soie mmmm    Durant les deux dernières semaines de mon séjour, j'ai quand même craqué et je me suis procurée quelques pièces à l'aide de mes derniers euros (économisés en mangeant des kebabs presqu'à tous les jours)  Mon seul regret c'est de ne pas avoir acheté le pyjama de soie noir et blanc, qui pourtant m'a supplié de l'amener avec moi...

C'est exagéré d'utiliser le mot regret pour décrire un achat, mais croyez moi j'y pense encore avec un petit serrement de coeur, je ne le reverrai plus jamais!  Quand on aime quelque chose et qu'on croit le mériter, il ne faut pas hésiter.

qui passe encore l'halloween??? ( as in trick or treating, not wearing kinky lingerie of maids...) je crois que ma dernière fois c'était en secondaire 3 ... à 13ans.  Ah ça me manque, faire le tri des bonbons et sucettes à la fin de la soirée, la boîte unicef...les chandelles dans les citrouilles sculptées, les squelettes dans les arbres, les chaudrons où sortent de la fumée!! (j'ai appris que c'était juste des glaçons dans de l'eau chaude hoho)

c'est vraiment triste que l'Halloween à notre âge se résume à sortir en club habillé de soutien gorge et oreilles de lapin.  je veux organiser une soirée zombies et vampires!!
