A little update on my drinking ability

STILL CAN'T DRINK IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT.
Seriously, it's like the main defining characteristic about me.

This girl came to Paris for 4 days, perks of being a doctor and being able to use 'attend medical conferences' all around the world as an excuse to travel more. Miss you already Yang!!

Ti-Punch créole. I barely touched it with my lips, that's how weak I am.

Nice waiters are as rare as peanut butter in France. Basically non existent.  Why is that? Maybe it's part of the charm in a twisted way, but I'll never get used to it.

By the way, this picture is not for racist purposes Huilong, I know what you're thinking -_-  She was one of the only smily waitresses in entire Paris.

Last bits of my summer

Here's my attempt at returning to the blogging world, which requires from me far more discipline than I've expected... I wonder how many people still read this blog (silently!!) ?  The time I spend on internet has significantly decreased since I've made the big move, as there's no more need for me to escape in the virtual world when I can just walk out to the house and live the dream!  Okay that made me sound like a World of Warcraft freak who never sees the sunlight.  wahaha.

My first two weeks in France were spent in the countryside, soaking up the August sun, babysitting and making sure kids and dogs don't devour each other, laughing over the afternoon goûter ritual on the kitchen table...

Pour le meilleur et pour le pire...

This marks my 500th post on this blog.  Cheers to that!
Now before any bridezillas start b*tching at me, this post just reflects my point of view, don't take anything personally ;)   I am excited to attend a wedding this June (1st time I attend a wedding outside of my family) so I'm doing a bit of homework on wedding photography!

Bleubird's whimsy vintage-inspired wedding

Some DIY ideas from Ruche :)   Love the idea of reusing cans and wine bottles!

Having a talented photographer will make all the difference.  Here's a picture from lovely Joanna's blog

I kind of like these "bride's big day preparations" pictures.  Especially when it takes place in the bride's childhood room with a few of her best friends and sisters tearing up lol.

Do I even need to present this girl?.... the cherryblossom girl

What are your thoughts on themed weddings?  I guess you can't go wrong with the inspiration from the movie UP :)  wrap it up with a ride in a mongolfiere (hot balloon?)   can't find the source for these pics.

mmmmm a simple and sweet garden wedding (with a giant pool please), old movies and cushions all over the lawn.... so tempting.

Here comes the gay part; I have enough pictures to make a part II to this post.   If anyone is willing to finance my next Canon 5D mark II, I'm seriously considering reorienting my career into wedding industry (euh Pat, wedding planner, je compte sur toi).

Cabin love, cabin porn

My love for this glass bedroom cabin from Finland is only exceeded by my jealousy of its owner.  Whoever owns this piece of heaven must be the world's luckiest girl.  Notice the vinyl record player...mmm  afternoon naps, cuddling, the smell of pine & river, our music....

This is what my dreams are made of.

A Man needs to feel the rhythms of the earth; he needs to have in hand something real — The tiller of a boat, a set of reins, the roughness of rope, or simply a shovel. Can a man live all his days to keep his fingernails clean and trim ? Is that what a boy dreams of?
